Wednesday, August 2

Listen to stories, sing songs, play and learn with crafts. Free event for all ages.
-Kids’ Self Defense Class, Keller Public Library

Children ages 5-10 can learn basic tips and tricks on how to stay safe and handle bullies. The class is taught by instructors from the American Defensive Arts Academy and is free.
-Women’s Self Defense Class, Keller Public Library

Ladies, 16 and up can come and learn how to defend themselves. Class is put on by the American Defensive Arts Academy and no registration is required.

Homeschooling families are invited to meet every first Friday of the month to learn about what different resources the library has to offer. Children and teenagers are welcome to attend and no registration is required.
Saturday, August 5
-Keller Farmers Market, Bear Creek Parkway in front of Town Hall

Every Saturday from May-October, local farmers, artisans, and bakers gather to sell fresh produce, homemade tamales, salsa, jams, breads, cheeses, meats, and even crafts and pet products. Come stroll the vendors while listening to live music. The market is open rain or shine and parking is available at Tom Thumb and at the Town Square on the opposite side of the shops.

Aspiring writers can come and learn how to improve writing techniques, have their stories critiqued, and talk with other writers for inspiration. The KWA meets the first Saturday each month and is a group designed to promote creativity.
